2009 iPhone models surface in Dutch T-Mobile systems

Seemingly confirming Apple’s basic iPhone product strategy for next week, T-Mobile Netherlands’ phone catalog is showing 16GB and 32GB iPhones for 2009 as well as a possible 8GB model.

A pair of tips show an entry known as “iPhone 2009” in both black and white for the two identified capacities, hinting that Apple will no longer reserve a second color option for its best model.

WWDC banners are up: Let the guessing game begin

Apple has started decorating San Francisco’s Moscone Center in anticipation of the Worldwide Developers Conference, which opens Monday morning.

And as has become tradition, when the banners go up, the seemingly round-the-clock guessing game of what Apple will announce intensifies. This year, the banners say “WWDC: One year later. Light-years ahead.” Now the objective for many is parsing that phrase and poring over every image on the banner to extract some sort of meaning.

iTunes code points to Nike+, FM support for iPhone

The recent iTunes 8.2 update allegedly includes code strings that point to several iPhone features, including Nike+ Sport Kit and FM radio support, that may arrive with next-generation devices, according to AppleInsider. The radio capabilities would allow users to tag songs to be purchased from iTunes. The Nike+ support is also new to the iPhone, although the receiver has already been built into the second-generation iPod touch.
