A hidden panorama mode has been uncovered by iOS jailbreakers.

Your iPhone’s camera can do something you didn’t know it can do: shoot panorama photos! This secret feature was uncovered by hacker and software developer conradev, reports iDownload Blog. He did so by tinkering with the iOS SDK, which unlocked the world-grabbing feature. Once enabled, the shooting mode allows users to shoot continuously from left to right.

We’ve previously seen Apple’s much raved about Siri intelligent assistant feature hacked to work on an iPhone 4, but now developers have managed to hack the feature to work on an old iPhone 3GS. The hack comes from developers Grant Paul and Steve Troughton-Smith, while a video demoing the hack was posted by Ryan Petrich.

Apple’s most enhanced mobile operating system—iOS 5—is finally available to consumers, along with the near-mythical iPhone 4S. The new OS (operating system) boasts 200 new features for the company’s range of mobile devices, and so far the reviews have been mostly positive. However, consumers’ rush to acquire the new smartphone did lead to some glitches, such as cancelled software updates.

My iPhone is always with me, and I will admit to having mild panic attacks if I misplace it around the office or house. Only once have I had cause to go into major panic mode though, and that was when I managed to leave my iPhone and my car keys in a shop. Luckily it was the last shop I had been in, and my good fortune held up as not only had I left them at the checkout counter but the checkout assistant was a very honest person.

Producer on Kard Combat, Hamish Millar, provides an in depth walkthrough of a closely contested Tower battle. The Tower is essentially the Kard Combat single player campaign mode and is where players can earn upgrades for their mage and additional cards for their deck.

Tower Mode is crucial to the game because the rewards that you earn in Tower Mode can give you an edge in the multiplayer battles. The walkthrough will cover basic strategy, offensive and defensive play, card combinations and powerful spells. This particular battle is played out on the Master difficulty level, but we wouldn’t expect anything less from the producer of the game!

Nordcurrent, a European game developer and publisher, announced today that its latest iOS game Arcade Essentials is now available on App Store  worldwide for a price of $3/€2,39. Arcade Essentials is a collection of 5 arcade games inspired by the well-known hits of the 80s.

“There were many arcade games in the 80s and we wanted to give them a new life”, said Victoria Trofimova, Director at Nordcurrent. “All games in Arcade Essentials are inspired by those classic games, but we have taken them to a new level.”


Dutch game development armies Two Tribes and Ronimo Games partner with leading independent publisher Chillingo, a divison of EA, to bring highly acclaimed indie hit Swords & Soldiers to the App Store.
