iPhonetunes member Tony Karakashian reviewed Saturday Night Fever
To be honest, when Robin asked me to review this game, I shuddered. Having grown up in the 70s, I could only imagine what I was in store for with this game. Worse, since these games are tie-ins to recent movies, I had to wonder: was Paramount thinking of releasing an updated Saturday Night Fever? I tried not to think about it…

With only one day left on the 2008 calendar Softbank finally released the highly anticipated 1-Seg TV tuner and battery for the Apple iPhone. Say what you will about the iPhone’s steep challenge in Japan, but Softbank has come through with one of the best Apple accessories ever to hit the market.
The device looks almost exactly like the iPhone itself but feels incredibly lightweight thus allowing the add-on to fit perfectly into the high-bar aesthetic tastes of most Apple fans.

[CES 2009] We all know the Ladybug, the cute award winning iPod dock created by Vestalife. Today, the company is launching two new versions of its famous product. It is hard to innovate from a so unique design and the company strategy this year is to improve the existing shape. With the Firefly, they made the wings more curvy and the whole look becomes more elegant. The red color is also more subtle (from what I can see on the photo). The Firefly is iPhone compatible, unlike the LadyBug, and has a built-in subwoofer unlike the Jewelbox (the other new product). Features after the jump.

CrunchGear had mentioned about the new tool Yellowsn0w which helps in unlocking an iPhone 3G for any network all across the globe. This tool was developed by the iPhone Dev Team and seemed to work fine for some people and many had complains about it, from a small error to some permanent unlock disabilities. I still got an experimental iPhone(was a real phone but was a good experiment for me
) which belonged to my friend, and he wanted to get it unlocked.

In November, Google launched voice search capabilities for its native iPhone application. It took a fairly pointless app and made it cool, interesting and useful. But alongside that update Google added a hidden menu, which it revealed today on the Google Mobile Blog.
It may seem surprising that no one found it earlier, but when you try to get to it you’ll see why.

The iPhone has been hacked in the past to use modified external keyboards, but new mods promise much more general interaction. Now, iPhone expert Ralf Ackermann has succeeded in supporting a standard Bluetooth keyboard using an external Bluetooth approach and is working on supporting an internal one.
For the external approach, Ackermann modified a Robotech Bluetooth module, which he placed in an iPhone battery sleeve and connected to the iPhone (serial) connector port at the bottom of the unit.

Chicago (IL) – Using your iPhone on a cold winter day is a bit problematic, especially if you are wearing gloves. You either have to take your gloves off to dial a number, select music or look up a map - or you simply keep the device in your pocket, because the capacitive touch screen does not respond to finger input through gloves.

Online forums have been filling up with the cries of iPhone 3G users worldwide. You can thank The Dev Team for that. The group’s latest iPhone hackery came in the form of an beta unlock tool for 3G devices two days ago. And while the instructions are easy enough to allow anyone to rip the AT&T exclusivity off of their mobile device--we’ve even given you a step-by-step guide for unlocking your iPhone 3G--not all has been well in the iPhone 3G world as of late. We’ve counted two iterations of the Dev Team’s unlocking tool thus far, each promising to fix issues, errors, and does-not-work problems that have been plaguing would-be unlockers over the past 48 hours.

Yesterday night, i got an email from Schmave, a member of iPhonebluetooth.tk. He has “pwned” the iPhone Bluetooth, and released an executable file to let you try it!
The project owner, also said: Some of you may point out that: We are jerks - MeDevil has already done this and you suck. Well I’ve got news for you. Medevil is nothing more than a half decent lair. He said he did it with no proof or words as he left the group after stealing our work, a little bit like the big ‘Z’…

You know the the iPhone 3G is only available in two colors: white and black. Right? Apple also made a pink iPhone 3G with the obvious intent of giving it to the ladies. If not, then some mischievous iPhone 3G factory worker must have felt like playing with spray paints one day. Or someone is playing a sick and girly joke on us.

Have you ever jailbroken an iPhone? Ever used a software solution to “unlock” the iPhone’s SIM slot, freeing it from the shackles of its original carrier? Chances are, the iPhone Dev Team had something to do with it. This group, made up of some of the iPhone development scene’s finest minds, spends countless hours tearing apart the iPhone to make it do all of the things Apple won’t allow - and then figures out a way to make it work for everyone. It’s tough, unpaid, and often thankless - but they keep cracking away.

iPhonetunes member Tony Karakashian reviewed Iron Man
Iron Man is one of a trio of movie tie-in games brought to us from Paramount studios through their Paramount Digital Entertainment division. The game offers the player the opportunity to live last summer’s blockbuster hit. However, the controls make this a difficult task.
The game starts out as a test run being performed by Tony Stark in the latest incarnation of his armored suit. You are given directions on how to operate the suit from messages on your HUD from Jarvis, Stark’s computerized companion. The first couple of minutes is spent in a mini-tutorial in which you learn how to have the suit automatically target and fire missiles at static targets by painting them with the onscreen reticule.
