The iPhone OS 4.0 multitasking rumor mill
New York, Tony Karakashian, March 12 2010.
The latest buzz sweeping the blogosphere concerns a rumor that the iPhone OS 4.0 MAY finally offer the ability to multitask. Apple’s taken a lot of flack over the years for not offering what is probably the most basic of features in today’s computing environment. Johnny-Come-Latelys, like the Droid, who are trying to capitalize on the iPhone’s success by copying it are touting this prominently in their advertising.

iPhone-HD unveiled in the latest SDK
I was reading an interesting news article from pocketgames this morning, where they unveiled hints in the code to a new device called the N89, which includes video codec for 720p.
720p means basically that the resolution is 720 pixels vertical by 1280 pixels horizontal with progressive scan. It has a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9.

New Year New iPhones
Brussels, Robin Bollen // Jan 08, 2009
A new year brings a new iPhone, which is for sure when Apple sticks to its current iPhone release cycle. To sum up the releases of the iPhone;
iPhone 4GB / 8GB June 29 2007
iPhone 8GB/16GB Feb 05 2008
iPhone 3G 8GB/ 16 GB July 11 2008
iPhone 3G S 16GB/32GB June 19 2009
There is one date that stands out from the others and that is Feb 05 2008, with the storage increase of the original iPhone to 16GB after the 4GB has been discontinued in September 2007. If the current rumors of the iPhone 3G S 8GB edition are true, then this year we can have again a double iPhone release. Around February the lower storage version, to put prices down even further, and in the summer the iPhone ‘4 G’.

8GB iPhone 3GS Confirmed By Rogers’ Wireless Website
The existence of an 8GB model of Apple’s hot iPhone 3GS looks more likely if you take a gander at this webpage from Rogers Wireless of Canada.
There it is in full public view in a comparison chart — the iPhone 3GS is available in 32GB, 16GB and — now — 8GB.

iPhone OS 3.1 beta shows “iProd” device, fuels Mac Tablet rumors
Before we talk about the Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)/Mac tablet that Stefan absolutely believes is a crock of bullshit, let’s talk about the latest iPhone OS 3.1 beta release. The still-developing iPhone OS 3.1 beta contains a USBConfiguration.plist that refers to some sort of “iProd” device. The mystery device indicates configurations for “standardMuxPTPEthernet” and “AppleUSBEthernet,” both of which are used by the iPhone.

iPhone prototype goes missing; Chinese worker investigated, commits suicide
Last Thursday, 25 year-old Sun Danyong committed suicide after a fourth-generation iPhone prototype he was responsible for went missing. It’s a story, from what tech-industry friends in China tell me, of how Apple’s secretive ways send extreme pressure all the way down the company’s international supply chain.

Fixing iPhone error 13019 when syncing with iTunes 8.2:Resolution
Please update to iTunes 9. If updating to iTunes 9 does not resolve the issue, please continue:
The error will most commonly occur while syncing music. This issue can be resolved by following these steps:
1.Select the iPhone or iPod touch in iTunes under Devices.
2.Click the Music tab and under the Sync music option, choose Selected playlists.
3.Deselect the Voice Memos playlist.
4.Click Apply and then click Sync.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, check the device and the iTunes library for duplicate voice memos. If you find any duplicate voice memos, delete the duplicates and then sync.
If those steps do not resolve the issue, then follow these steps:
1.Select the iPhone or iPod touch in iTunes under Devices.
2.Click the Music tab and deselect the Sync Music option.
3.Click Apply and then click Sync.
4.After the sync is complete, reselect the Sync Music option.
5.Click Apply and then click Sync.
If the Error 13019 occurs while syncing content other than music (applications, podcasts, and so on), then perform the same steps above but uncheck the content that stops syncing with Error 13019.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, attempt to sync an empty iTunes music library to the device while logged in as a new admin user. Follow these steps to create a new admin user:
