High demand of flash memory is rising the prices, thanks to the iPhone

A report released by DRAMeXchange on Tuesday said that contract prices for 4-, 8-, 16-, and 32-Gbyte single-level cell NAND Flash chips increased by roughly 4 – 7 percent this month, the second pricing jump in 2007, according to the market intelligence company.

Previewing the iPhone Revolution - Who exactly is Apple targeting?

It seems as though I’m going to be a couple months behind, but I have to talk about the Apple iPhone. Everyone on the net is talking about it, so why shouldn’t I?

First off, I want to say that the iPhone is pretty cool, but I personally am not interested. Yah, I’ve said it, I’m not interested in it. Maybe if I owned my own iPod, then I might toot a different story, but I don’t think that would even change my opinion.

Apple Inc. may find it hard to ignore a new dual-strategy mobile phone initiative from Sprint Nextel that promises over-the-air music downloads to a new Samsung phone for 99 cents a piece.
The nation’s third largest wireless carrier said Monday it plans to begin offering customers a new phone from Samsung with a revolutionary form factor that optimizes music capabilities with the look of a phone on one side and an MP3 player on the other.

AOL Challenges iPhone With Mobile Winamp

AOL is set to launch a new mobile product next week that will allow users to connect to their PC-based music collections from their mobile phones. An extension of the hardly noticed Winamp Remote PC-to-PC media streaming service that launched earlier, the PC-to-mobile service, in effect, turns a mobile phone into a MP3 player.
