A few months back, the iPhone overtook the 5 megapixel Nokia N95 as the most popular cameraphone on Flickr. Even though it looks like there was a slight hiccup since then, *gasp*, the iPhone appears to be widening the lead.

My Nokia 6300 behaves like a flash or thumb drive when I connect it to a computer using an USB cable. I think this should be standard functionality nowadays. Cellphones are replacing the Filofax and MP3 players. I can read mail on my cellphone, take pictures and movies. It contains an 4GB memory stick, sometimes even more.
So why do I need to carry this silly thumbdrive with me?

While the iPhone and iPod Touch are pretty good for watching movies by yourself, what about those times when you want to share?
Having a group of people huddled around that relatively small screen can be pretty awkward, so this mini projector dock from Honlai Technology seems like a good alternative, at first glance at least.
This is a massive re-work of my iPhone Wallpaper Pack. I picked and manually adjusted 370 of my self-made wallpapers through the last years.
A LOT of these are not posted anywhere else

As I wrote earlier, there are a few wine tools available for your new iPhone and iPod touch. I downloaded Wine Log yesterday and can offer my critique.
Wine Log has a simple interface, but that doesn’t mean it’s a simple application. It’s stocked with plenty of features. The app allows you to input the name of the wine, the winery, the region, the varietal, rate it from 1 to 5 stars, and add a note about the wine

Some people like to customize things according to their needs. I have seen many people having customized gadgets and other stuff. When I speak about gadgets, the first thing that strikes my mind is iPhone. Customizing an iPhone with different colors would be great isn’t it?
There’s a service known as ColorWave which allows you to do so.

I don’t know what it is about the iPhone but having it has caused me to go crazy for Apple products. You could call me an ‘Apple Fanboy’ if you want. But one thing is for sure, the iPhone is a gateway drug!
What makes me say this?

Brussels // R.Bollen // 09-08-2008 // Today I took the risk to upgrade my Pwned 2G iPhone to the latest firmware 2.0.1. To my big surprise the iPhone was still unlocked after doing so. I thought it would be bricked and only usable with official SIM cards, but it was not the case. Because I wanted to see the new Installer 4.0 Beta that ships with the latest Pwnage version 2.0.2, I connected it again to iTunes and fired up the Pwnage tool.
I went through the whole Pwnage process, then I restored the iPhone again in iTunes with the newly build ipws. So far so good. Then I synced again all my music, contacts and applications. My iPhone is much faster now with the new firmware and I am happy I took the risk. See pictures for proof.
Thanks again iPhone Dev Team!
The iPhone Dev Team released the new version of their Pwnage Tool 2.0.2 earlier today but it works only for Mac users.
The WinPwn Tool has still not been release for Windows users but they need not feel left out, the step-by-step that some clever folks had figured out to pwn the first generation iPhone as well to jailbreak iPhone 3G seems to work with the custom iPhone firmware 2.0.1.

PwnageTool 2.0.2 has officially been released by the Dev Team. This iteration will successfully ‘pwn’ Apple’s new 2.0.1 firmware, just as PwnageTool 2.0.1 worked on 2.0.
For those impatient jailbreakers who experienced problems after upgrading to the new firmware prematurely, this timely release from the Dev Team has to be much appreciated.

Knowing that George Lucas is perhaps the only person more controlling of his product licensing than Apple’s Steve Jobs, I suppose this news should not exactly come as a shock to anyone, but according to TheMacBox (creators of the wildly popular (and free) PhoneSaber lightsaber emulator), THQ Wireless (who owns the rights for Star Wars apps on mobile devices) has asked that PhoneSaber be removed from the iTunes store.

We recently reported on Dynolicious, the $13 app that uses the iPhone’s accelerometer to meter your car’s performance, and mentioned a few positive impressions that surfaced in the app’s early days.
Sure, the idea is appealing and makes theoretical sense, but I at least need vaguely scientific confirmation that this thing actually works well. It is in the spirit of vague science,
