Super Monkey Ball will soon roll onto the Apple iPhone, Sega announced today. The popular multipplayer party game will get its very own iPhone software demo in the months ahead.
Super Monkey Ball was first displayed running on an iPhone Software Development Kit (SDK) at Apple’s iPhone SDK event on March 6.

France-based mobile game developer Int13 started porting their Crazy Kart 2 game over to the iPhone.
As far as we know, users should expect 320×320 pixels playing area, on-screen virtual steering wheel, 3 vehicle classes (karts, motorbikes, hovercrafts), 6 characters with different vehicles, downloadable content (new vehicles and tracks), and WiFi online multiplayer mode with match making and up to four simultaneous players!

Handheld gaming has never really worked on non-gaming portables, but this footage showcasing Spore running on an iPhone is enough to give even the most staunch pessimist a bit of faith in the project.
While EA has yet to finalize a release date for the game, they claim to still be committed to a release that would coincide with Spore’s launch on the PC.

EA’s Travis Boatman certainly caught our attention this morning when he gave a brief demo of an apparently complete version of Spore running on an iPhone.
Boatman’s show and tell took place during Apple’s presentation about the iPhone’s SDK. Boatman said it took EA two days to get CocoaTouch running, after which they could “import the whole game.”

Thanks to the iPhone’s powerful CPU and quite capable Safari web browser you can run many of the popular web services on your shiny handset.
