Multitasking not only can kill your productivity, but if you’re trying to do it at the wrong time - while driving, for instance - then it can just plain kill you.  How many people reading this have tried to briefly answer a call while driving, or reply to a text?  Product development consultants Kaleidoscope have come up with a way to handle those interruptions, and rather fittingly they’ve called it Tame.

iPhone Car IntegrationThough we’ve reviewed hundreds of iPhone-compatible accessories since last June, there has not been a complete, turnkey solution for in-car iPhone integration that average users can go out and purchase with ease.

The reason is simple: though the iPhone is supposed to be Apple’s “best iPod ever,” it actually doesn’t work properly with many of the iPod’s best previous car accessories, and the iPhone accessory development process has proved unusually difficult for even the best engineers out there.

Got my SI just over a week ago, but Ive been doing my best to work on the functionality and integration of the electronics. So far, I have taken an iPod Gooseneck mount that fortunately also works for my iPhone, using a line-out at the very bottom of the gooseneck (right by the AUX in for the car) and put it right next to my Nav. This is awesome because with the use of a bluetooth earpiece, it will interrupt the music to answer the call, and as soon as someone hangs up, right back to the music.

The Xcarlink is a revolutionary product that allows you to connect your iPod or MP3 player directly to the CD changer port of your original car stereo for the best possible sound quality, it will even allow you to control your ipod through the controls on your stereo and steering wheel.

The kit includes everything that you need to get your ipod Road ready; it is not an FM transmitter and does not transmit FM radio signals to your radio like other products on the market. Instead it connects directly to the CD changer port on your original car stereo to give you the best possible DIGITAL sound quality.

I recently bought a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the built in navigation. I am able to connect and use my blackberry throught the bluetooth system in the car, UCONNECT. My IPhone connects half way in that it makes calls but does not play the sound through the speakers. The car does not allow for received calls either. IS there a work around or is IPhone not compatible with JEEP UCONNECT?
