A hidden page on the company’s website has confirmed that Telefónica’s Movistar will offer the iPhone in Spain. The page, which has since been removed, was discovered (Translated link) on Movistar’s site at the URL iphone.movistar.es, and displayed the number of users thus far signed up to receive more information on the iPhone when it becomes available.

AMSTERDAM (Thomson Financial) - Royal KPN NV said Tuesday it is holding talks with Apple about securing the rights to sell the iPhone in the Netherlands.

PARIS (Reuters) - France Telecom (FTE.PA: Quote, Profile, Research) will keep its exclusive deal to sell the new version of Apple’s (AAPL.O: Quote, Profile, Research) iPhone in France, Chief Financial Officer Gervais Pellissier told Reuters on Thursday.

Apple is widely expected to launch a 3G version of the popular touch-screen, Web-browsing phone early next month, capable of faster data speeds than the original.

FRANKFURT, Germany: Deutsche Telekom chief executive Rene Obermann said Thursday the company is satisfied with sales and usage of Apple’s iPhone, adding that the company has so far sold more than 100,000 of the devices since its November debut.

At Telekom’s annual general meeting in Cologne, Obermann said the devices made by Apple Inc. were the most popular multimedia device sold by its T-Mobile cell phone division.

The french group Orange announced a new agreement with Apple to distribute the iPhone in Austria, Belgium, Egypt, Jordan, Poland, Portugal, Dominican Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Switzerland, as well as on african markets. The iPhone should become available in Belgium this year.

Begin May, Vodaphone had made distribution agreements with Apple for distribution in 10 countries before year’s end. Orange (France Telecom) already sells the iPhone in France since november, but sales are lower than expected by Apple.

PARIS -(Dow Jones)- France Telecom SA (FTE) is in talks with Apple Inc. (AAPL) to sell the U.S. company’s iPhone handset in other countries, Chief Financial Officer Gervais Pellissier said Wednesday.

France Telecom is in talks regarding “more than just two countries,” Pellissier said in response to a question during a conference call about whether the company was hoping to secure the rights for the iPhone in Spain and Poland. “It’s in discussion...we’ll see what the results are,” he said.

Less than two weeks since they cut £100 from the price tag of an 8GB iPhone, UK stocks of the model at retailer The Carphone Warehouse have been completely sold.  The news was first broken by the store, carrier O2’s official retail partner for the handset, and later confirmed by O2 themselves who have only minimal in-store stock and none left for online orders.

BERLIN: Will the iPhone change Europe? Or will Europe change the iPhone?

Two recent newspaper reports published on the Continent say that Europe appears to be exerting the greater influence so far on the iconic device.

Neither report revealed its source, but both asserted that Apple was poised to fundamentally change the way it sells the iPhone in Europe, giving up its demand for a share of data revenue from operators - which some analysts say is as much as 30 percent - to accommodate local preferences for less expensive, subsidized devices.

Apple Inc. is in talks with France Telecom’s (NYSE:FTE) Orange unit to lower the price of the iPhone in France in order to boost sales of the handset, Les Echos reported.
