The link is for the lucky few of us who can speak Dutch. Anyway, they were so eager to get a real piece in their collection, that they flew one in from the States.
So when you make a visit to The Hague this summer, do not forget to see the real iPhone there;

Vodafone has dropped the biggest hint yet that European mobile networks have been demanding Apple offer 3G support in the iPhone.
Vodafone Group chief executive Arun Sarin called the lack of 3G support in the iPhone a “concern.”
“The iPhone is clearly a good, software-driven device, but we’re concerned about wideband area coverage. 3G (capability) is something we look forward to and hope Apple moves forward to soon,” Sarin said, Reuters reported.

AMSTERDAM (Reuters)—Vodafone is in talks with Apple to launch the U.S. firm’s iPhone combined music player and telephone in Europe, and talks partly hinge on volume guarantees and subsidies, a Dutch magazine reported.
Apple demanded a guaranteed sales volume for the iPhone, which the British mobile operator did not want to give, Dutch magazine Bright said on its Web site late Tuesday.
CNNMoney’s Allen Wastler gives his take on the way Apple has been promoting the iPhone and the lack of access given to journalists.

Fifty-six per cent of Brits have heard of the iPhone and some 7 million of us are interested in getting one when the device launches in the UK.

Apple might choose a retail-only strategy when it launches its iPhone in Europe, as operators are complaining about the firm’s arrogant demands.
“Operators consistently told us, not for attribution, of course, that they had spoken to Apple and found the company ‘unbelievably arrogant’, making demands that ‘simply cannot be justified no matter how hot the product is’,” Avi Greengart, a principal analyst at Current Analysis, wrote in an advisory on Monday.

PARIS: Few mobile phones have created more buzz before becoming a reality than Apple’s iPhone.
For weeks, European übergeeks and telecommunications analysts have been angling for a chance to sign the nondisclosure agreement Apple requires before bestowing devices on early users.
For the rest of us in Europe, there are two crucial questions: When and how?

Everyone and their brother(s) have been trying to predict which mobile phone network will get the nod as Apple’s European partner for the iPhone, and it appears Apple is getting closer to a decision. Apple and the European carriers are hoping that big iPhone sales will make the exclusive distribution a lucrative one, so of course Apple is taking its sweet time in choosing a European carrier for the launch.

Wow, the Apple iPhone is great isn’t it! Ever since the first day that the iPhone was announced and appeared on that huge stage & screen I knew that I’d want one.
Apple’s $499/$599 iPhone still on track for late June in the US, however there has been no release date for the gadget here in Ireland/Europe (that I am aware of, please correct me if I am wrong).

In the very unscientific poll I took while attending the S60 Summit in Madrid this week, most Europeans I spoke with said the iPhone is “worthless without 3G.” They are also unconvinced that the touchscreen interface will allow them to send SMS messages quickly. Will the iPhone be DOA overseas?

Last year wasn’t exactly auspicious for German mobile-phone components maker Balda. The company issued two profit warnings, shed 70% of its 2,400 German workers, and ended the year with a loss equal to 13% of sales. So why would a heavy hitter such as Apple Inc. (AAPL) hand Balda a contract to make the touch screens that are the most important design element of the much-anticipated iPhone?

Jobs’ iPhone demo was so powerful that he actually made people believe that Apple invented a whole new user interface. In fact, Apple did something more important than that. The company took some of the best—hitherto obscure—UI research and put it into a product that you will be able to buy.
